An initiative at UA where students interface directly with community partners, specifically (a) nonprofits (b) startups and/or (c) enterprises with a clear angle of service to the community. Students can gain an appreciation for the broader Akron community and where community partners serve as mentors to students and in return, recieve the benefit of a student working on a project relevanat to the respective organization. Students are paid $1,200 for 100 hours of work, with EX[L] matching at least half of the amount (organizations can apply for full sponsorship).
